Mission, Vision, and Values

Mission:

I aim to encourage shared heritage through the preservation of collections, the creation of relationships with stakeholders, and the understanding of different communities.

Vision:

My vision is to revitalize dying societies through collections so that their past can be saved for the contextualization of our shared future.

Values

Empathy

I strive to use empathy in everything that I do. No matter what, I actively try to view things from different perspectives and understand those around me.

Ethical Stewardship

I work to learn more about and practice ethical stewardship in all cultural spaces. I care deeply about what it means to have the responsibility of a steward, and engage in continuous learning on how to fulfill it entirely.

Preventive Conservation

I provide care to collections through the lens of preventive conservation by keeping up to date on protocol and regulations. This has allowed me to gain an intimate relationship with cultural objects while simultaneously deterring agents of deterioration like dissociation.

Accessibility

I prioritize accessible information for all by creating exhibitions and collections with those who identify as neurodivergent or disabled in mind. By ensuring that cultural institutions are physically and literarily accessible spaces all members of the public can feel included and seen.
